so matt and i have 3 "kids", aka, cats! they are great! fun, loving, playful!...
we found our girl, all by herself. in oct 03, we found her outside a bar, digging in the dumpster for food. she was sooooo cute, 1 1/2 lbs, a fluff ball. so we left the bar at 2AM, went to walmart and bought kitty food, kitty box, kitty litter, kitty toys, and took our new kitty home...the start of her story! now she is a 14 lb fluff ball with an attitude! total lover, IF SHE wants to be petted, but if not, WATCH out!
then in 5/05, we were leaving the local grocery store and matt noticed a flyer saying "free kittens"...we were going to just check it out! ha! us and our groceries went on our way to the next town over to just "check the kittens out", after all, scooter needs a brother or sister, right?!?!?
on the way there we discussed if we were going to get scooter a sister or brother and decided to just get a cute kitten and it didnt matter if it was a boy or girl.
so here we are, in this room full of kittens, their mother was a stray and these people took her in because she was pregnant. and let me tell you, ALL these kittens were cute! matt picked one out (a white one with a black spot on his head), im ready to leave...
then matt says, "pick out another one"
"WHAT? we getting TWO?"
"yeah, we cant just take one!" he grins.....
so i pick out a cute little grey striped one...
and off we went with TWO kittens! boys....and let me say that scooter was NOT HAPPY with her new brothers
so we have our 3 cats and they all love each other...and they have brought matt and i so much joy, smiles, and laughs! they entertain us and matt loves pestering them as much as they enjoy the pestering (HAHA)....
i know not everyone is a cat lover....but with as much as we go out of town, they are perfect for us! and i wouldnt trade them for anything... well, maybe scooter when she bites me as i am trying to pet her! did i mention that she is moody!!!!!

Funny how Matt picked Shadow and is now YOUR baby and you picked Socks and he ended up Matt's buddy..
I grew up with cats and then had a child with severe allergies, so no cats here. Living in the CT woods is not at all safe for kitty cats around here.
Your husband must be so wonderful... my dad was the very same way. Both my parents always let us bring home the strays and keep them.
Have fun with your "kids"!
