as you all know matt and i are HUGE cardinal fans! and 3/31/08 was opening day!! i was soooo excited! i just love the fact that baseball is back! i love opening day, the fun, the excitement, the budweiser clydesdales, the parade of RED convertible mustangs carring our team around the field, the eagle that flys from center field to the pitchers mound...i could go on and on....opening day really is like a holiday here in stl...people skip work and school just to be a part of everything! my brother in law (mark) and i had bleacher tickets! matt works at the stadium, so he was there too! here are a few pictures i took that day!

then mother nature played a nasty trick on the fun....it started to POUR! buckets of water....we had only played a few innings, and we were WINNING! then came the announcement....the game had been rescheduled for the next night...so sad! it really did rain on our parade:-(
