my dad....
my dad is retired air force (i was born in japan, my sister in holland), did his 20 years, and now works for them as a civilian....he is some sort of computer person.
my dad is, and always has been, a very hard worker. he grew up in michigan, a farm boy!:-)
he is remarried to linda...and they live in a tiny town, outside of san antonio, TX...in the middle of no where! you actually take DIRT ROADS to their house! but it is soo peaceful out there! the land, the animals, birds, horses in the pasture next to them....

matts dad is retired IBM. he built the house he and alice live in (the same house matt grew up in) and they only live about 20 minutes away from us...
they are snow birds and have been for YEARS. about thanksgiving time, they head to the florida everglades...and stay until april. they are volunteer park rangers there and love it...
they have been married close to 50 years (i think!)...
matts dad is a man of few words and ....
he can fix ANYTHING! anytime matt wants to do a "project" at our house, i always make him either have his dad come over to supervise or call him just to go over things to be sure matt really knows what he is doing and not just telling me that!:-)

now we dont have any kids (yet) but we do have 3 cats we both adore...
