home sweet home, cozy cabin 8A(on left)we had a GREAT weekend!
matt and i were the first to arrive at about 3:00 friday afternoon, so we grabbed our chairs, a cooler with some beer....and headed to the river! the river was so close, we could see it from our cabin! we made friends with another couple, from St louis, that were doing the same thing...sitting in the river and enjoying the outdoors!it rained friday night...yaa hoo cozy cabin! (and just FTR...the cozy cabin with the AC, flush toilet, and SHOWER was well worth the extra $$)
saturday was great on the river. we got on the river around 10:30 and didnt get off until a little after 7:00!....the river was very crowded, but a wonderful time....
good sun, a little sunburn (we did apply sunscreen...but forgot to reapply, whoops), NO RAIN while we floated, no injuries,....and i didnt see any snakes!
we had paid for a package deal, cabin 2 nights/float/and dinner after the float, so when we got back to the "resort", we had a good dinner: BBQ pork steak, baked potato, corn on the cob, and salad! that was already prepared for us! BO-NUS!
we got up and came home today, and were home by noon...now i have to take a nap cause i work tonight!

What a fun trip you guys had...but you freaked me out with the "snakes" info. Any chance of snakes and I'm not joining in on the fun! Soooo glad you didn't see any!
You work nights huh? I did my time with the night shift. My boss told me last week that we are adding a "nocturnal" shift to our dialysis unit. My first question was "who's gonna work it!?!" It's not gonna be me that's for sure!!
I worked yesterday and for the first time in ages had an awesome day. I needed one good day in the midst of alot of terrible ones these days!
