2008 in pictures...

so my friend and fellow co-worker, jenn, tagged me a few weeks back...and im just now getting to the post. its a picture post for the most part, a review of 2008. we were busy last year (as usual) traveling, going to cardinal games, and hanging out with each other, friends and family...

JANUARY

we went to matts BFF franks house and rang in the new year with close friends. and were eager to see what 2008 would bring us.

FEBRUARY

we were able to catch a stl blues hockey game, had 9 inches of snow, and a new nephew, max, was born.

MARCH
this was our first (of four) trips to FL, our nephew, brody, turned 4, and baseball season started! we went to MANY cardinal games throughout the summer months.

APRIL
we were able to catch cardinal games, one of our favorite things to do

MAY

more cardinal games, rock star glasses found, a wedding to attend, first time ride on a ferry, and spring is here!

JUNE

another trip to FL to meet our new niece, bryn, got to experience the first ever concert at Busch stadium ~the dave matthews band!~ went boating with friends, and even drove to kansas city on a whim for the weekend to catch a cardinal/royals baseball game.

JULY
hunky husbands birthday, his gift was tickets for the NASCAR race weekend in joliet, IL, woo- hoo, another weekend out of town! we also went on a camping/canoeing weekend trip with friends, another thing we absolutely love to do!

AUGUST
my sister and her children visited and all of us made a quick weekend trip to michigan for a family reunion. it was GREAT to see everyone! i hadnt been to michigan since 2005 and barbie hadnt been in way longer than that. heres a pic of me, my sister and her two beautiful children, my dad and my step mom, and my grandma (who passed away in october, exactly 2 months after this pic was taken).

a group of us also went to chicago for a weekend to catch a cardinal/cubs game....and my birthday is at the end of the month, thats always a celebration!

SEPTEMBER
another weekend trip to chicago for a cardinal/cubs game, more cardinal games at home, another new nephew is born (3 months early), henry, and we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary by taking an extended weekend trip to the lake of the ozarks...just chilling and enjoying each others company.

OCTOBER
a solo trip for me to FL, another friends wedding, no more baseball:-(, and a trip to my friend jules house. jule and her family live about 2 hours away from me, outside of a tiny town in MO on a farm with horses, donkeys, sheep, cats, and dogs! with hills, and fields and trees everywhere. the trees were turning colors and were just beautiful. what fun!

NOVEMBER
we went to Arkansas with matts entire family to celebrate thanksgiving and christmas. we also got to meet our little nephew, henry, who was still in the hospital at that time.

DECEMBER
with december brought lots of holiday gatherings with many friends. the computer had moved from the living room a few months earlier, so we actually got to see our fireplace! and one more trip to FL to celebrate christmas with my side of the family. HENRY ALSO finally GOT TO GO HOME, 100DAYS OLD!
