we have had a rough couple of nights. i definitely have a night shift baby! i guess i asked for that since i work nights!

matt has been great,
getting me what i need,
making sure my water jug is full,
reminding me to eat (yes, this past sat, at 6pm, i realized i hadnt eaten ANYTHING all day!)
helping me latch her onto breast (little missy gets really mad sometimes and just screams at breast, so it takes 4 hands to wrangle this little 6 lb 5 oz girl!),
running to the store to get whatever (i needed pads last night...i ran out of the huge hospital ones...and i have none, how prepared am i!?!?! he gladly ran to wal mart last night at 9pm, and came home with pads! among several other things!).
he bought me the greatest little charm for my necklace...its a little silver baby shoe, with a bow on the toe in finleys birthstone and engraved on the back is her name and birth date!
he even has taken her in the middle of the night these past 2 nights, takes her to the living room and hangs out with her, so i can sleep between feeds....

muah! hunky hubby, YOU ROCK!

weve had several people bring us home made dinners, weve just needed to plop it into the oven to warm up...wow! how blessed are we with such great family and friends!

i cant believe shes already 9 days old....gosh, where does the time go???
and because ive been getting hate mail, people demanding their finley fix (haha, not exactly hate mail....)

heres a picture of miss finley, taken about an hour ago....happily sleeping in my lap, with a full belly.....
life is good!

the not eating... I did that with Matthias when he was like 2 weeks old, I was tired and cranky, then realized I had not eaten all day!

Matt is such a good guy! Not that you need me reminding you of that though!

She's truly a doll baby! Enjoy every second of her!

Good to hear that things are going ok....sleep deprivation is the part that you remember when you have that next baby. Forgetting to eat, shower, speak to another adult...all things that don't get done when you have a newborn. She is precious!!!
