easter weekend

the blooms are blooming!
the trees are beautiful, the bushes are beautiful, the daffodils are beautiful...
and my hunky husband is MISERABLE!!!! his allergies are kicking his butt! he is a snotty sneezing mess! and its disturbing my babys nap time!

lol.... love you hubby!!!!!

we hope you all had a great Easter weekend! we sure did!

sunday, we went to church, and spent the entire hour in the cry room. miss finley has a bit of a cold, and has been really snotty, sneezy, congested, fussy, wanting her mama for about a week now. (yes, i called the ped and told them all her symptoms, and they said it sounded like a viral cold as long as there was no fever involved (she doesnt have a fever) and it should run its course in about 7-10 days)...so she wasnt feeling up to "being quiet" in church...;-)

after church, we went over to matts sisters house, and had lunch....and then hung out there all evening. matts other sister and her family were there too, so the whole gang spent the day together.

here finley is in her Easter dress and with her Easter basket. she got 5 little board books and a small ducky stuffed animal! (i forgot her cute purple bloomers that matched her dress...oh well!)

her loot! the Easter bunny even left some chocolate for mommy and daddy! i just love her sweet little Easter basket. i ended up getting it at michaels for 40% off!!!! yaaa! the night before i bought it, i was on etsy looking at easter baskets that had your childs name embroidered on the fabric (so cute!!!)....but i was a little hesitant because i thought they may be a little more than i wanted to spend on an Easter basket, so i held off and didnt click "buy now"....and went on a mission the next day to find a cute basket that didnt cost an arm and a leg....

saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt. it was way chilly, cloudy, and windy....so instead of the cute skirt she was going to wear...we opted for these cute pants and matching "daddy loves me" onsie! thank goodness mama had a hat in the diaper bag....it was colder than we thought!

we got to the hunt (it was at a park) and walked up to all the activities....and it was even colder! thank goodness matt remembered the extra outfit that is in the diaper bag for blow outs....its a thick sleeper...so back to the van we went to put the sleeper on and layer miss finley up! while we were dressing her warmer, she decided she was hungry...so we fed her too! matt thought she looked funny....heres a picture of finely at her first Easter egg hunt! (spending most of the time in the van! getting dresses, eating, and staying warm!)

we did venture back out to the Easter egg hunt, and got her picture taken with the Easter bunny. but she had just fallen asleep....so in the car seat she stayed!!!!!!
after the Easter egg hunt, we went over to my bff moms house for a bbq!!! boy was the food yummy! there was a houseful of people there....tons of kids playing.

the sound of kids laughter is the best isnt it!!!!!

that was our Easter weekend....full of fun, finley firsts, good food, great church service, and family!
