matts surgery

matts surgery was tuesday...
it was scheduled for 1145 and he had to be there at 945....

they told me i needed to stay there, and to plan on being there for 6 hours....

ya, tell finley that she has to sit in a waiting room with her mama for 6 hours!!!!



i was very happy to see that the tv in the waiting room was on nbc...so i could watch all my shows@ kathie lee and hoda, dr oz, and ellen!!!

i am also very very very excited to say that finley was wonderful! she slept until 1145, then her and i went out to the van (we borrowed matts parents full size old school van), she got her diaper changed, her belly filled, my belly got filled....

then back into the waiting room we went.

she was such a happy baby...laying on my lap smiling and cooing!!!

matts surgery went great...

we left at about 3pm...so pretty close to 6 hours like they said...

i got the pleasure (gag) to drive(white knuckles and all) the van home, ive never drivin anything this size (i drive a mustang)...

hubby has to keep his leg elevated, ice on it, and the dressing on it for 3 days. hes allowed to do weight bearing as much as he can, so he is hobbling around the house....and DEFINITELY keeping up with his pain meds! (his nurse wife is being a pill pusher for at least the first 24 hours or so!!)
