happy halloween!!!!!

we had a great halloween....

finleys first halloween!!!!!

lets jump right in!....

i had this cRaZy idea to make finleys costume this year....me? my non-crafty self!
haha...but i was bound and determined!
i came up with the idea....
googled it (yes, i did!)
and found some great ideas on how to make the costume....
so....a couple weeks ago, when my dad and step-mom came for a quick visit, i had (the VERY crafty) linda help me start finleys costume...

then...this past thursday....hunky hubby helped me finish her costume....
any guesses as to what she was?!?!?!?!?!?

saturday night, i was telling finley all about halloween, and put her in her halloween pjs (aka, the back up plan if costume #1 didnt work out for what ever reason)....and she was having so much fun....laughing, smiling, and just being silly....

on halloween....we got up and went to church....
then carved our pumpkins. yes, we did wait until the last minute! but better late than never right!?!?

i always say that finley was the "GOOD EGG"....
so..........

she was a

BABY CHICK!!!!!

im so glad you didnt see us trying to get her into this costume....

it was a minor catastrophe to say the least...it ended up involving a stuck baby that was VERY upset and scissors to cut the head hole bigger to unstuck that baby!

but we got her into it and she was fine then.

we went to a couple neighbors house, up to see my BFF and her mom,

then to matts parents....

what a fun time!!!
