11 months old!

finley turned 11 months old on december 20.....since its jan. 5, i best get this post done!
i cant believe she is almost through her first year.....
its bittersweet....it makes me sad that my baby is growing up and her year of firsts is almost over, but im so excited to be watching her grow!!!! she is such a joy! and her little personality is really starting to shine!
onto some 11 month facts....


finley is in size 3 diapers and in some size 9 and 9-12, but mostly size 12 month clothes

she still goes to bed around 8pm and sleeps until about 7-8AM and still takes 2 naps, one in the morning around 10 and one in the afternoon around 2...

i am still breastfeeding her....mostly just in the morning, then she gets pumped milk and some formula. she is a great eater, and really enjoys feeding herself! she shovels in her puffs and yogurt puffs! she ate a bite of everything at thanksgiving dinner...and some new foods shes tried this month were mango, graham crackers (what a mess!), strawberries, and sheppards pie....i still make all her food....

she still points at everything and loves to touch everything as well! she enjoyed pulling everything out of the boxes while we were putting up the christmas tree. she hasnt really messed with the tree while its been up, just has pointed to it and wanted to touch the lights and the ornaments.

she loves to "ride" on her einstein caterpillar....although she bounces on it instead of rocks on it...she has a blast! she LOVES it when i put my full length mirror on the floor, she sits in front of it and just smiles and talks to the pretty baby that is staring back at her (thats how i get some computer time in!)

she is a girl on the move and wont sit still for nothing! she started pulling up to a standing position and cruising along the furniture. she can crawl like there is no tomorrow! she blows spit bubbles and is still very ticklish! she claps her hands when we feed her (even when i breastfeed her she claps!)

she got her 3rd tooth (12/7), its the upper middle left one....she always points at my nose, and i will say "nose"....i swear the other day, she pointed and she said "nose"! she also waved "hi" to me! on 12/16, while she was standing, she let go for one second, and stood there! and all i could think of was that she is fearless!

on 12/4 we took her to see santa and she did great! but when santa and mrs. claus were at a christmas party a week later, she screamed when she sat on his lap!

she loves kids! and kitties (ours dont love her, they stay outta her reach) and dogs too! she gets all giddy if she sees any! she still isnt saying many words....just "mama", "dada", "ut-o" when things get dropped (yes, she has started THAT game)....she does "talk" a lot....just finley talk! she loves playing peek-a-boo!

she also likes to play this game where she makes a motion with her mouth like she is taking a bite of something and she says "aoummm" while doing it...then we copy her and do the same thing...then she does it again!
