How to Really Love a Child *
Be there.
Say yes as often as possible.
Let them bang on pots and pans.
If they’re crabby, put them in water.
If they’re unlovable, love yourself.
Realize how important it is to be a child.
Go to a movie theater in your pajamas.
Read books out loud with joy.
Invent pleasures together.
Remember how really small they are.
Giggle a lot.
Surprise them.
Say no when necessary.
Teach feelings.
Heal your own inner child.
Learn about parenting.
Hug trees together.
Make loving safe.
Bake a cake and eat it with no hands.
Go find elephants and kiss them.
Plan to build a rocket ship.
Imagine yourself magic.
Make lots of forts with blankets.
Let your angel fly.
Reveal your own dreams.
Search out the positive.
Keep the gleam in your eye.
Mail letters to God.
Encourage silly.
Plant licorice in your garden.
Open up.
Stop yelling.
Express your love.
A lot.
Speak kindly.
Paint their tennis shoes.
Handle with caring.

Beautiful Poem!
Hey Jenn! I've been out of the blogging loop for a long time! Can't believe how big your little one has gotten. Aren't they SOOO much fun at this age! I love it!! And a big congrats on your newest blessing. Can't wait to see you as a family of 4!
I am about to take my blog private (after 2 months of doing nothing!) and was wondering if you wanted an invite. If not, that's ok! But if you wanted to follow along, just send me an e-mail to melindambrown@yahoo.com
Also, I noticed you bought the My Ride 65 for your daughter. Addie Grace is such a peanut and is still in her infant carrier. She is nearing the length restrictions for it though and I've been looking hard at carseats. The Graco has been my #1 choice but I would love to hear your feedback on it as well. At the store it seems to recline farther back than the other carseats, the other ones seem so straight backed. What is your overall feel for the carseat and would you recommend it? Would you purchase this carseat again if you had to do it all over again?
Sorry for writing a book here, hope all is well with you and your family!
I love the poem...and of course the girl in the pictures with it!! Love,Mimi
I think I have that poem.. thanks to you :) I love it too and need to read it more often
