we are home!
its been pretty crazy here tonight....you know the typical stuff....got tons of stuff to put away from being at the hospital since saturday...got to rearrange things and get things set up for the new baby (pack-n-play, changing table, bouncy seat, etc...i know, this all should have been done, but it wasnt so no use dwelling on what should be done, now we just need to GET IT DONE!!).....
and finley is all out of her norm...she fussed and cried the entire evening, from when she woke up at 630 until she just went to bed at 9! but what can we expect right? her world has just been turned upside down, she just spent 3 days away from us at grandmas house, and now she has to share me/us with the new baby....which by the way, she loves (the new baby that is...not so much into sharing her mama)!
i actually looked at matt at one point tonight and asked if we had gotten "in over our head?" of course im not really serious, i know we can do it...but at the moment, thats the way i felt! im tired, my ta-tas hurt, and i hate seeing finley cry and i cant do anything that makes her stop....i missed her so much....and dont want her to think ive been "taken away from her" or anything like that...
oh well, it will all work out...eventually, right?!?!?! lol!
lets switch gears...
on a good note,
im going to take 12-14 weeks off! so i will be going back to work in november! that makes me smile!
the baby (so far) is a dream baby, just like finley was! she sleeps, i wake her every 3 hours to eat, she gets pissed cause i woke her up!...but she eats (my milk is already in, shes happy!)....then goes back to sleep! my only complaint i have (if i must have one) is that she is gassy...and BOY CAN HER LITTLE TOOTS KNOCK YOU OUT! man, oh man!....
oh....have i been keeping you in suspense?!?!?!? yes, sweet tiny toth #2 has a name (thats a whole nother post, naming kids IS HARD, and i stressed about it for 2 days! trying to figure it out....thats why she wasnt named until an hour before we were discharged from the hospital!)

Jenn and Matt..first of all..I love the name.
Second..I LOVE the pic of Finley, Mama, and Danika in the bed.
Thirdly..I thought when you had Finley that you both were meant to be parents...and I really believe you are. I am so happy for you both and Finley. Just like I thought about Finley when she was born...Danika does not even know how lucky she is to be born into such a loving home. (Well...maybe her little mind does).
Congrats ..and Jenn enjoy your time off of "work outside of the home"...but I can tell that Matt is a great helper. I love you guys! She is beautiful...just like Finley was..and is. Susan

I promise you that things will get easier. I know how hard it is adding number two to the mix, especially with a child under two waiting at home. It gets better and you do find time to share.

Wowie this is an amazing post! Congrats!!!!She is so precious!
A big congrats to you and the family!! Danika is just perfect...oozing all that baby goodness and squishyness! You pick the best names. I remember how terribly hard those first few weeks were when Addie Grace came home, and Crista was older and understood! I can't imagine doing it with another baby in the house. Just remember these sleep-deprived days go by quickly...you can do it!!!
And for the record, Addie loves her new carseat! It barely fits in our car, but it does and we couldn't be happier!! Thanks so much for your help with it :-)

Congratulations!! You will get through it! Promise! Although at times you may pull a little hair out! And don't I know that you will love two just as much as one? I sure do! The two pictures I love the most are the ones with you and Finley holding Danika and Danika smiling.(even if it is gas) But the others are great too. I also LOVE that name!
