easter egg hunt

first....easter bunny FAIL! worse than santa! i couldnt pry her off me to even turn her around for the picture! she had her arm and legs wrapped around me and her head buried into me....ahhhh....the memories!

my bff puts on a huge easter egg hunt every year...

so, april 7, we went and hunted us some eggs!

finley was so funny! she would stop at an egg and exclaimed

"wooooooowwwww! mama! look! egg!"...

yes, i know baby, now hurry up and put it in your basket before that other kid comes and snatches it away form you!

danika even got some eggs too thanks to daddy!

we had a few family's of friends at the hunt, heres the kids after gathering their eggs checking out their loot! finley just sat down with the kids and was taking it all in...and she did reach for an egg or two that wasnt hers! sneaky sneaky!

there was a big blow up slide that finley was begging to go down....i was going to take her, but then i realized that it would probably be pretty near impossible for me to carry her up the makeshift ladder to the top...so matt had to take her! i think he had more fun than she did judging from the looks on their faces in that last picture!

when we left, finley decided to hitch a ride in the babys "seat seat" while she opened all her eggs and checked out the candy she got!

after the easter egg hunt, we came home and played some outside...and checked out our loot some more!

then we colored our eggs!

finley had so much fun doing this! she especially likes "spin"ning the eggs around in the colored water!

of course...our girl had to lick the water off the egg thingy....i asked her to please not do that...so she stopped,

for a minute....

then licked it again!

she is SOOOO matts daughter!@

i think our eggs turned out sooo pretty! such great colors! (the eggs were brown eggs from a co worker so i wasnt sure how the color would turn out). finley loved "her eggs" and wouldve slept with them if i would have let her!

after the girls went to bed, the easter bunny stopped by the house! he even had some flowers for me!

then we got dresses and went to church.

i just loved this middle picture, it was taken during church...we sit out in the cry room for the service and the girls were getting antsy, so matt walked into the hallway with them...isnt it a sweet picture, matt and his 2 girls!

after church, we were able to get a few family shots, and grandma even smiled with us for one!

after church, we went home and napped...

then went to matts sisters house for lunch/dinner with all the family!

we had a great easter weekend!
