20 year reuinon

so this past july i had my 20 year HS class reunion!
 i know...i cant believe it either! how on EARTH has it been 20 years since i graduated from HS!!!

the weekend co-en sided with the firemans picnic. every year our little town has this firemans picnic...its basically a parade both friday night and saturday night...those very rickety carnival rides....a beer trailer...fried food made to order by the volunteer fireman...some sort of band....a bunch of picnic tables...and a row of johnny on the spots! all set up on main street! honestly its a big deal, if you have moved away from lebanon...and are planning a trip "home", you come this weekend! EVERYONE comes and hangs out and catches up with all our old friends! its pretty fun!

back to the reunion festivities....
friday night date night: we had a "nicer" dinner, with spouses, at a restaurant...below is a pic of my classmates that were able to attend!
 11 out of a 42 person class, not too shabby of a turnout!
after dinner....we headed up to the picnic and all hung out around the beer trailer!

 

saturday festivities:

family friendly brunch at a pizza place...we had a nice buffet set up. and a cake decorated with the same picture that was on our senior sweatshirts! HOW COOL IS THAT! 

we all signed it back then! if you enlarge the picture, you can see my signature along the bottom of the "2" towards the middle. you can really only see my first name because the frosting trim hides my last name.

this brunch was fun bacause a totally different bunch of classmates came and we got to see everyones kiddos!

13 classmates made this brunch with only 4 of us being at dinner the night before.

after brunch...and naps for the girls....we headed up to the parade. 

we had a float in the parade! i was skeptical and almost didnt get on the float....but am so glad i did! it ended up being a ton of fun! you can see me (and my still great friend christelle standing up in the back of the float and waving to matt as he is taking the picture!)

 

matt and the girls had great seats to watch the parade. we always watch in the same spot with christelle (and her entire family, husband, kids, mom, dad, her sister, and her neice which happens to be aileigh, the high schooler that babysits for us!).

it sure does look like they had fun....

 

then of course, finley grabbed the camera and took pictures too!!!

 

after the parade, we went up to the picnic...and had a blast with the girls! finley rode on that rickety carnival ride, she rode in the school buss and all it did was go in a circle, but as you can see by her face she had the time of her life! which in turn made me burst with happiness! this was her first time she had ever been on any sort of ride! and i can promise it wont be the last!

and that bottom left picture....well, thats what happens when it is 11 PM and you tell a 2 1/2 year old she cant ride the bus anymore and its time to go home!

 

i was so nervous about my reunion...
seeing these people, some i hadnt seen in years!
but the entire weekend ended up being a success!
i had a great time catching up with my classmates
and showing off my sweet little family!
