danika had a party!.....a few months ago!

did i really never blog about danikas FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY?!??!?!!?
oh my gosh...bad mama!
well....here you go!
no theme....purple and yellow were the colors....
i made her smash cake and her #1 cake! and it LOOKS like it too! hey, i never claimed to be a master cake decorator! displayed some pictures of her i took on her actual birthday, hung a few decorations....and called it a party!
we had matts family come over. kept it small and simple! we were going to have everyone over to swim and hang out on the new huge deck matt built, but it was chilly...so no swimming

 

danika was in a great mood all day!
she really didnt know what to think about her cake....
at first!

 

she just needed a little "guidance" from some certain big sister! that had to put her party hat on too!

 

then she TOTALLY got into it!
and couldnt get ENOUGH of the cake!!!!
it was all over...in her hair, ears, eyebrows, nose, all over her face and from the tips of her fingers up to her elbows!
needles to say....
she got a bath!

 

she was also very interested in opening her gifts!

 

it was a great simple 1st party for our baby danika!
