matt and jenn: finley TURNS 4!

my baby girl turned 4 last week!
i cant believe its been four years since she came into this world!
she has grown into such a loving, caring, smart, funny little girl!
she weighs 35 lbs (50%) and is 42 inches tall (90%).
she is in size 4t-5t shirts, 4t pants, and size 8-9 shoes.
she is COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED! (except when she sleeps)
she LOVES danika (they are best friends), milk, puppy (her stuffed animal she sleeps with), going to school and "jumping", giving hugs and kisses to us, the colors yellow and orange, strawberries, broccoli, and "blue yogurt". she loves to sing, color, and help mix things when i am cooking.
she can count to 20 (or higher), knows all her colors, shapes, animals and sounds, and has started to add ("i want to see 10 buses, we just saw 2, so we need to find 8 more!") and write her name!

she is such a lucky girl we celebrated her birthday several times!

while we were in florida, at the beginning of january, we celebrated with cupcakes and candles after dinner one night! the kids loved this!!!!

then on 1/19, we had matts family over for dinner, cake and ice cream. i made her a rainbow cake this year...she asked for a cake with strawberries, oranges, and bananas on it..so thats what i came up with. it was an angel food cake with whipped cream for frosting, and all different fruits for the rainbow and marsh mellows for the cloud. SHE LOVED IT! this year was also the first year she actually WORE her birthday hat i got her (it also had a rainbow on it). she didnt like our singing to her, she covered her ears, and got teary and said we were "too loud!". she had a great time opening her gifts and running around with danika and their cousin max.

heres an up close pic of her birthday hat and plates and such, it was a rainbow and princess theme! and the snack we made for her to take to school when they celebrated there!
little butterflies made with grapes and gold fish...these snacks were a hit according to her teachers!

then, on 1/20, her actual birthday, we went to the movies for the first time ever! with the girls, and watched frozen. finley didnt like the dark, and sat on matts lap 90% of the time...but after the movie, she kept asking to see it again! danika loved it, she sat in her chair all by her self 90% of the time...and was just in awe!

after the movie, and a nap...she opened her gifts...and then we went out to eat at applebees where they also sang to her (and she covered her ears and hid and said they were too loud!).

her "big" gift from us was a yellow scooter, which she LOVES riding back and forth in the kitchen! and so does danika...it causes some conflict...i guess we know an idea for danika for her birthday in august!
