matt and jenn: august 2013....a month with lots of happenings!!!!

august 2013 started out like the rest of the summer had been going...

lots of smiles, hugs, happy girls....and happy mama and daddy!
but by the end of august...lots of things had happened....

danika turned 2! we celebrated with a family trip to the zoo and cupcakes! we had her party on the weekend with all the family, sprinkler fun, and a cake made by me!

i told you we continued our fun and smiles into august! with corn on the cob, suckers, our motorized barbie jeep (a craigslist DEAL i snatched up quickly!), and daddy!

we went to the zoo...which we had done several times before, but for the first time we FINAlly rode the zoo train! OH MY GOSH the girls had so much fun! we rode it all the way around the zoo, and only got off (finally) because finley had to go tinkle! and we were in the mist of trying to potty train

bubbles, bananas and swimming pools!
these things are always a good time!

this year, danika was going to pre school as well....orientation day went smooth, they both played in their classrooms and their teachers seemed nice...

the first day of school...it was finleys 3rd year and danika 1st year...they were all excited... including danika, until i left her in that classroom filled with a bunch of strangers! she cried, i cried....
whats new?!?!? but she has ended up really enjoying her teachers (mrs angela, mrs tori, and ms. katie) and going to school! and so has finley! finley talks about her friends (halle, katelyn, lilly, and summer) a lot and she really enjoys her teachers (mrs beverly and mrs marie) too. they both have learned a ton too!

the summer end was near, but that didnt stop us from getting in as much pool time, outside bubble time, and just plain ole fun time!

aug 2013 also brought danika first pig tail on top of her head!
bam bam!
she FINALLY had enough hair to do this!!! oh, and matt made the first one just for the record! good daddy!!
