4th of july and firemans picnic 2014

i love the 4th of july! and thankfully, i have THREE girls that love the fireworks as well!!!

july 3rd, our town always has fireworks at the park....so we have all our friends meet at our house, and we all walk down there to watch the fireworks!
it was awesome! and the girls had fun running around with their cousins and friends!

 

july 4th this year, we BBQ hopped!
we had a friend in town from the east coast, so we went to a friends bbq for lunch...
then we went to matts parents house for a bbq for dinner!
we ate really good that day...and didnt cook a thing! (i brought watermelon to the bbqs...that was our contribution! buy, cut, eat! no cooking involved!)

 

then we went to a little town next to us...and watched their fireworks show!

even baby nora likes fireworks. she just sat there mesmerized by them!

 

 

the following weekend, our town had its annual firemans picnic on friday and saturday...
this means a parade each night where we got WAY too much candy...
and then carnival rides that the girls just love!

danikas favorite rides were the big slide where you ride the potato sacks down (she actually carried her own sack and walked all the way up the stairs all by her self....SEVERAL times! such a big girl) and the cars (a little merry go round thingy with cars/firetrucks/stuff like that.
they also rode the strawberries....the little strawberry you sit in...and spin it...(and make mama sick!)
finleys favorite ride was this roller costar dragon thingy...

and look at danika??!?!?!? poor girl was scared to death (and her face shows it!) but she rode it several times because finley kept wanting to ride this dragon...and would talk her sister into it! and she hated it every time!
at the end of the night, when finley wanted to ride the dragon again, and in the front car!...we let her...but danika (finally) said no! she wanted to ride the big slide again...
so thats what they both did with their last ride ticket! the bottom picture is when finley rode the dragon in the front car!
oh, and both nights, when we went up to the rides...nora slept the entire time in my front baby carrier! all snugged up to me!

 

we had so much fun these two weekends!!!! i think these are my most favorite days of the summer!
along with matts birthday....and danikas birthday....and my birthday!!!!
