noras birth...5/19/14

i had finley and danika 2 weeks early...so we all thought for sure thats what was going to happen with baby#3!
 NOPE!
she had other ideas!...
we didnt know the sex of baby #3 (never have with any of them)
and decided that if i was still pregnant on my due date of 5/18/14, i would be induced...

here i am...at 39 weeks and 2 days!

this is us...on my due date...as you can tell...im still pregnant!
so we packed the big girls up for a slumber party at grandmas and grandpas on sunday 5/18
and went into the hospital that night to give this baby eviction papers!

i was on pitocin all night, and contracting, but nothing painful...i didnt have an epidural or any pain meds with any of the girls....
they broke my water at 10:25 and at 10:56 out came our baby girl #3~

 the first thing i saw was that she was a GIRL...and that she had the chubbiest cheeks ever!
she was our heaviest baby weighing in at 8lbs 9oz and 20 inches long!
she was perfect! we knew she was going to have a cleft lip...and more than likely a cleft palate too (she does)

 

matt brought the girls up to meet here....THEY LOVED HER and fought over who was going to hold her! it was so darn cute!  we stayed till wednesday...and came home in a thunderstorm!

her hospital newborn pictures turned out fantastic!
the story about her name...we had a list, like always...
matt liked "nora"....i wanted my middle name "lynn" and my sisters middle name "ann"..so i was trying to incorporate those two names somehow...then at some point in the wee hours of tuesday morning...i did it!
i came up with "lynnora ann".
it had it all....the name matt liked, my middle name and my sisters middle name!
perfect! and she was only a day old! (danika took till we were being discharged to be named!)

she wasnt a fan...and apparently neither was my photographer! (see the picture of matt??!!)

adjusting to 3 kiddos has been chaotic and fun at the same time.

finley and danika still love her to pieces and are over eager to help me!

i think the biggest challenge for me has been that i cant breastfeed her (due to her clefts) so i have to pump and feed breast milk with a bottle. thats double the work! it sucks! and takes up so much time! but i am doing it...and have made it this far (12 weeks)

our family is now complete!
