we watched the opening ceremonies tonight....WOW!
they were so good! i loved it all! im not sure what was my favorite part....i think maybe the opening drummers! they were AMAZING!

these 'blocks" were really cool too! while they were performing, i said that i thought people were in the blocks...and asked matt if he thought there were people in there? or just machines, he thought just machines.....then out popped the peopel to wave!!!! amazing!
these performers had some sort of black ink/dust stuff on them...they rolled around on this paper and dmade a picture....are you sreious!?!?!?
this was pretty cool too...if you look closely, you can see the dancers/performers that were suspended from wires and dancing around this globe...

now, this story is just....awesome. for those of you who didn't watch, this huge man is yao ming, a professional basketball player for the houston rockets. the little guy with him is a survivor of the earthquake that recently destroyed a lot of lives in china. he is a nine-year-old whose parents were both killed in the earthquake while he was in school. as he was pulling himself out of the rubble, he heard the cries of two of his fellow classmates. he then ran back into all the chaos and pulled them out, saving their lives!! when interviewed, he was asked what made him go back to save his classmates...he said, "well, i'm the hall monitor and the class leader. it was my job to help them." all i can say is "wow"....we all need to take a small lesson from this little boy on sacrafice and helping others in need
the parade of nations is always fun...fun to see the different clothing they wear and i like seeing how many athletes are there for each country, some only have 2 or 3 athletes! and boy are they PROUD to be there! here comes the USA!
the olympic rings! in lights!!!!!
i love fireworks! and boy was this an awesome fireworks show!!!!!

let the games begin!

For some reason I haven't watched any of the Olympics this time around...just preoccupied with work and all I guess. I usually watch it from start of finish.
