spring blooms and baseball

just a random post with pictures.....

i went to the mail box today and noticed a lot of flowers blooming in my front yard and wanted to share!....
my crab apple trees (i have 3) have started to bloom, and they smell WONDERFUL!
my creeping phlox i have planted around two trees are full of dainty little purple flowers....
my goal is to have these two trees surrounded by creeping phlox...there are a few bare spots that i will have to fill with new plants this year....but they almost make it all the way around!
and this little guy is a primrose...i planted 6 of them along the front of my flower bed a few years back...they are annuals, not supposed to come back year after year...but they HAVE! they continue to make it through the winter and then cover themselves with these sweet little blooms! arent they just the cutest little things. i have 2 white, 2 yellow, and 2 fuchsia ones!

my tulip has opened as well! yes, i have one tulip that bloomed this year, and she is standing tall! showing all her glory!
in my mail box was some GOOD MAIL from my blogging buddy linda! she is the queen of good mail! a little note from her, a cut little bunny, and some M&Ms! in the cutest little carrot shaped bag! thanks linda...for the smile that was delivered today from you!
and last night matt and i went to our first (of many) CARDINALS game this season. we had a blast (even though they lost)! it was much warmer than opening day (this past monday when it was snowing and the high was 38 degrees!) it was actually around 55 degrees....still a little chilly, but do-able!
here is a pic of the field from our seats! we are in a great section (as you can see), down from third base, way close to the field! these are our season seats (we share with a group of people) so we will be spending a lot of time in these seats this year! and in the years to come!

Dont you just love Spring! I love all of the beautiful flowers, the birds chirping, Easter, great weather, and yes, even baseball!

Hope you have a beautiful Easter Jenn. We're going RVing with friends and I can't wait! No one's got kids at home anymore so were making our own holiday fun! We're a bunch of old people but boy do we have fun together!
