monday morning we got up and had left over dessert, from dinner at the skylon, for my birthday breakfast! dessert breakfast (cheesecake and apple pie) in bed! whats better than that!
after a few last pictures of the falls from the hallway...we checked out and headed back to the good ole' usa....
we still had 2 attractions left on our discovery pass we had bought on friday...the aquarium of niagara and the niagara gorge discovery center...so thats where we headed before we hit the road to head home.honestly, these 2 places were pretty lame. i was very glad we didnt 1) plan a whole afternoon for this and 2) didnt actually pay for each attraction separately and 3)get too excited about them.
we breezed through them both in about an hour and 45 minutes...we live 30 minutes from st. louis, which has one of the best zoos in the nation (and its FREE)...the niagara aquarium didnt have a chance to even come close to stacking up to our zoo...we also have a science center in st louis that put this discovery center to shame in the first few minutes we were there.
but we made the best of things...and had a good time just hanging out, relaxing, and seeing the sights.
we got on the road early afternoon and started our journey home....
sometime in the night, we stopped at mcdonalds so i could have a birthday hot fudge sundae!!!!

that the ending of our niagara falls anniversary trip. we had a blast and enjoyed the time together, just the two of us! reconnecting and helping to keep our marriage strong.
i hope you enjoyed all the pictures (even though they dont do the falls justice. if you ever get the chance....i say GO! and experience them first hand!) and the narrative from me!
it was a trip we will never forget....with memories made that will last a lifetime!
