the niagara falls are AMAZING!
i ended up taking about 380 pictures and videos!!! and its a bit overwhelming to sit down and try to blog about it all! i couldnt decide on just a few pics to post, so i decided to use picasa to make collages, to be able to post as many pictures as possible....so i hope you dont mind the mass amount of pics in collages!!!! :-)
wed, aug 26 at 11PM we got on priceline and decided to book our hotels for the trip, after all, we were going to leave as soon as we got packed that night and drive the 750 miles through the night! what time would be better to book hotels right!??! haha.

our plan was to stay on the united states side thursday and friday night, and go to canada for saturday and sunday night...so, at 11PM, we booked our hotel for thrusday and friday in the states...
onto the weekend in canada... we didnt have as much luck. apparently saturday is their "big day" and they jack up the hotel prices...we decided to book our hotel for sunday, and to wait until friday night to book sat...
with hotels booked (for 3 out of 4 nights) and car packed, we got on the road at 1AM...yeah! we are on our anniversary trip!
we drove through the night and got to niagara falls, NY and our hotel (crowne plaza) at 1:30pm...but the lady at the desk wouldnt let us check in until check in time, which is FOUR PM! she doesnt care that we drove 12 hours, 750 miles, and may need a nap or to freshen up....arggggg...
what to do for the next few hours?!?!

we found out that the falls and the niagara falls state park were only TWO BLOCKS away, so we decided to walk down there and check it out.....OH MY GOSH! as we entered the park...we could here this roar..."matt, thats the falls we are hearing!".
sure enough. it was!

we spent the next 2 1/2 hours hiking around and exploring the niagara falls state park...seeing the american falls, bridal veil falls, horseshoe falls, going to goat island, luna island, three sisters island, prospect point and terrapin point! we had a ton of fun and were just in awe of everything! it was cloudy and overcast, but that didnt spoil our adventures!

we had a great afternoon
so happy to be at niagara falls, celebrating our 3 years of marriage!
we went back to the hotel, ate some dinner at the sports bar in the hotel, and were able to FINALLY check into our room! how inviting! its now 6pm....and we crash onto this oh so comfortable bed....and are out for the rest of the night~

hi Jenn! happy anniversary & birthday! looks like a fun trip - i love how you did the pictures in the collages. we're about to celebrate our 4th anniversary & let me assure you, it won't be as exciting! we'll be lucky if we can make it to dinner AND a movie! :) i added your blog to my list so i'll be checking in on you!
