we went to the pediatrician again today for a weight check....
finley weighs 6lbs 14 oz!!!!! (her birth weight was 6 lbs 13 oz)...
i was so excited to hear that! ive worked hard this past week to "fatten" her up! and it worked!
when we got back to the exam room, matt got her out and was holding her. then it was time to get her stripped down to her diaper, get her vital signs, and weigh her....well, when matt went to take her sleeper off....he found a surprise! she had BLOWN UP her diaper! and the poo had went through to her onsie and her sleeper! it was from the bottom of her feet, up her back, and to her shoulders@ it even had soaked through onto matts shirt@@@@ i wouldve never guessed that such a little tushy could produce such a big mess!!
this definitely was a two parent job...getting her cleaned up!
and all this BEFORE her weight check....i was like "no, you should have kept all this in for your weigh in!"....but even with all that out, she passed her weigh in!
then...its time to get her dressed and go home...but, this first time mom has NO EXTRA OUTFIT in the diaper bag@@@@ i have everything else....but no extra outfit! so little miss finley, got to ride home in her diaper!!!!
yes its winter, yes its going to snow, yes its only 30 degrees, and yes, finley is in her diaper@
i guess you live and you learn...and i learned today to NEVER EVER leave the house without an extra change of clothes@ for your baby...and your husband!!!

Yay for her getting back to her birth weight and then some.
Oh the blow outs. They will happen again. Its amazing how they can poo that much. But it happens. Cooper does it way to often.
HA HA, I think Matt should be responsible for his own change of clothes..
Don't forget next time the roll-it-up-before-you-pull-it-over trick.

YaYaY!! Im so happy for all of you that she passed her weigh in...and yes, we live and learn...luv luv luv it...yes I love the fact that she had a HUGE poopie and Daddy helped clean it!!!! Go Hunky Hubby!!!!
