4th of july weekend...part 2

so to continue (and finish) finleys first 4th of july...
sunday we got up early and went down to st louis to watch the morning air show...

can you see how excited finley is???

she loved the airplanes...

she watched them buzz back and forth and only jumped a few times (towards the end of the show, when she was starting to get tired and "think" about a nap...and the 4 that performed together keep flying really low right over us....can you say L>O>U>D!)

we actually stayed on the illinois side of the river, and watched the air show from the eads bridge (a pedestrian/car bridge). we had a great view, and a nice breeze which helped since it was in the 90's that day! it was overcast....but HOT, and my shoulders got burnt! but its easy to burn when youve barely been out in the sun!!!

finley had to put her pink hat on while on the bride because it has ties that snap on...her white hat just sits on her head and the wind about blew it into the mississippi river! thank gosh daddy has quick reflexes and caught it first!

we tried several times for our self family portrait....trying to get the 3 of us to be looking at the camera and the arch in the back ground is harder than you think!

after the air show, we went to matts parents house for a few hours, watched the cardinal game, hung out with matts dad, and took naps (well, me and finley did!)
then we headed to a bbq at our good friends, doug and brandis, house...
boy did that have some good grub for our tummy!
thanks guys for inviting us over!

finley decided to have another nap!

let me tell you about the dress she is wearing....
i was so excited that the 4th of july was finally here....i absolutely LOVE this dress! i actually bought it last year, when i was barely pregnant because i thought it was just so darn cute!~
good thing we had a girl!....a little boy wouldve looked kind of awkward wearing a sun dress!
of course i had to have a mini photo shoot in her 4th of july outfit!

after we spent some time hanging out with doug and brandi, and filling our tummies, and (finley) taking naps...

we headed to a neighboring small town to meet a co-worker (and very good friend of mine) and her family for fire works...

finley again just absolutely loved them!

she just stared, wide eyed.....and watched....

i so wish i knew what she was thinking...her little brain trying to comprehend the world and everything going on!

and this was finley at the end of the night...

we had left the house at 930 AM and didnt get home until after 11pm...

being gone all day, and all that excitement really wears a girl out!

we sure do hope you all had a great 4th of july holiday!

Its amazing how well our babies did with the fireworks. I'm glad she liked all she got to see that day.

The last picture just cracks me up. :)
