we had baseball tickets. we havent taken finley to a game yet, she was to little, it was to cold, there was a chance for bad weather....
but tuesday, i really wanted to take her. it was her 6 month birthday and what better way to celebrate than at the ball game!?!?!?
i make a really big deal about birthdays, anniversaries, "firsts"...so this was a big deal! matt thought it would be fun to go to build a bear in the stadium and build finley a bear....
so thats what we did before the game! finley picked out her bear by her chewing on its ear....i guess we will be taking this one! the one with the baby slobber! then we rubbed the bears heart on finleys nose and stuffed it into the bear...then they stuffed the bear full as finley and daddy watched. we then picked out an outfit for "sweetness" (thats the bears name! its on her birth certificate!). a cute little jean skirt and a cardinal shirt, and finished her off with red bows on her ears. she turned out WAY cute! im not sure if you can see in the pictures, but her nose and the insides of her ears are baseballs...and on the bottom of her right foot is a picture of the stadium! we had fun making sweetness....and by all the baby slobber on her, finley LOVES her! good idea daddy!
after we built sweetness, we went and showed finley off to matts friends (he used to work at the stadium and still has a lot of friends that do)....
and then found our seats....
finley was too cute! she kept screaming, kicking, and flapping her arms around....like she knew she should be cheering for the cardinals!
of course, i couldnt take enough pictures!!!! daddy and finley with the field in the background.....

finley, finley and more finley....just watching everything! there is so much to look at! and of course, she was "cheering" (screaming) the entire game too! just like the rest of the crowd!

the cardinals won! i think they won just for finley!;-) it was a great night....but VERY hot and sticky....but OH SO WORTH IT! i will never forget the first game we took finley too, on her 6 month birthday....what great memories! finley stayed awake the entire game! she fought her sleep from about 9pm on (the game was over by 9:50 as you can see in the pic)...when the game was over, we packed up (boy you have to pack a ton of stuff when you take your baby places!), and headed to guest relations. they do this neat thing where they print out an "honorary first visit contract"...it has the cardinals logo on it and it says

so finley got a lot of things to commemorate her first visit to busch stadium!
after we had the certificate made, we headed for the gates...and miss finley was asleep before we were out of the stadium!
what a great night full of memories!

What a great night!It sure looks like all of you had a good time and miss Finley sure enjoyed herself! I love all the pics of course but that one with her smiling in front of the field is my favorite too. And they won,what more could you ask for? Mimi
