6 months old

full speed ahead!

miss finley is 6 months old!!!! (yesterday)

are you serious?

6 months?

half a year?!??!!?!?

no way!!!!.......

WAY!

i just dont know where the time goes....

she is growing up so fast!!!!

we went to the pediatrician today....for her 6 month well baby check up

she got shots (boooo!)

and checked out ALL GOOD!

she weighs 15 lbs 7 oz! (50th %)

her length is 27.5 inches (90th%)

and her head circumference is 16.75 inches (5oth%)

(just a side note, she really wasnt feeling her photo shoot yesterday morning...so the smiles are minimal, and her left eye was swollen, i think she may have poked herself)

whats going on in the life of finley.....

she is in size 2 diapers....
size 3-6 months clothes...
she sucks on her bottom lip, so its all rolled into her mouth and gone!

her favorite things are still her activity mat with all the toys hanging from it, her ka-dunk-a-dunk (aka: excersaucer), and she LOVES sitting outside with me in the hammock chair...looking all the leaves in the trees! she also still loves to play "super baby" and her new trick is "upside down baby"...she will be sitting on your lap and throw herself backwards, so she is upside down....and just laugh and laugh. matt also turns her upside down and hangs her there for a minute....she loves it~

she plays peek-a-boo....

she also loves it when you touch your forehead to hers and say "bonk"....you will get a giggle every time for that!!!

she rolls back and forth...but still gets stuck when she rolls onto her belly, and that makes her mad!

she loves to sit up and look around...she can sit, propped up against something pretty good now, but still cant sit up all by herself

she is very vocal! lots of "aaaahhhhhhh"....and she makes this sound like a billy goat or like she is clearing her throat, it is quite comical! then there is also her famous screeches and screams....just screaming at the top of her lungs...then she giggles!

she still drools all the time...no teeth, but i think she may really be working on them this time, shes been unlike herself the past few days and just been kind of cranky...and whimpers in her sleep (so sad). she love to chew on her hands, feet/toes, just about anything she can reach really! during the photo shoot, she even decided to eat her 6 month sticker! and the teddy bears foot! then she fell over (see below!)

she is such a happy baby, always smiling at everyone....and laughs and giggles too...arent baby giggles just the best sounds E>V>E>R!!!!

i am still breastfeeding (go me!)....but have you ever tried to breastfeed a 6 month old? that gets EASILY distracted!!!! she has to stop and look at EVERYTHING! look at the light, look at the cat, look at her dad, look at me.....and on and on!....and every time she stops and looks at something, she looks at me and smiles....then will go back to eating, but just for a minute before she has to stop and look again...you know, she cant miss anything!

we started trying solids on 7/19...the verdict is still out on them, she hasnt decided if she likes them or not!

she has noticed the cats, and will reach for them....they just manage to stay at arms length away from her....boy will their world be rocked when she is mobile!

she is so in love with her dad....her face just lights up every time she sees/hear him!

she still sleeps through the night....she goes down between 9-10 and will sleep until about 630...

is our life...

we went to the cardinals baseball game last night and took finley! for her 6month birthday!
