finley will be 6 months old tomorrow, so i thought it was time (aka...i was ready for her to eat solids! matts been ready for a while....i couldnt hold him off any longer)
so to get finley ready...
last week, i gave her a spoon to "play" with...
she chewed on it for a bit...
but would rather have her thumb!
she tried oatmeal cereal mixed with breast milk...
we got her all ready...
sitting in her bumbo in the dinning room table, got the camera, got the cam corder on the tri-pod ready to go...
put her new bib on...
and looks like she would rather eat her bib!
mixed the cereal....made it nice and runny...
heres her first bite.....
she wasnt too sure about it....
"maybe i like this stuff, ill open my mouth for more"....
"nope....i dont think i like it, im gonna spit it back out!"
so we tried for a bit to get her to "eat" some....and i think more ended up on her bib, AROUND her mouth, and in the trash than in finleys tummy!!
"nope, daddy, i dont think i like this stuff"
finley would much rather smile at her daddy.....
and smile at her mommy.....and the camera...and the cam corder.....
well, we will try again tomorrow!

How cute. Atleast she let you put the spoon in her mouth. My son HATES the cereal. She'll get better.

I feel like you just had her a month ago.
Love the first feeding pics! We had a similar expereince with Addie's first try at solids. Couldn't tell it now though. The kid LOVES to eat her veggies and her oatmeal...can't shovel it in fast enough for her :-) Your Finley is just adorable!!
And I liked your decal story too. Sounds like something I would do!!
