playing catch up...

a picture post from 2 weeks ago! cause im that far behind!!!!!

finley is getting better at eating! she will open her mouth and lunge for the spoon...she still gets it everywhere...but she is really enjoying eating her "solid" food!
im still making her food...steaming/baking the veggie/fruit, then throwing in a blender and pureeing it, then freezing it in ice cube trays. its actually very easy so far...and i am saving a butt load of money (those little baby food jars are stinkin expensive!).
ive learned a lot from this homemade baby food web site. i have used several of their tips and recipes...i have found this web site to be a life saver! it taught me how to cook a butternut squash (among SEVERAL other foods)...ive NEVER done that before! and gives me a good timeline on when to introduce what to miss finley...

THESE TWO JUST ADORE EACH OTHER. IT IS SO "MELT MY HEART"....

weve been to a lot of games this year since we have season tickets that we share with 3 other people...
the cardinals had a promotion this month...for all home games, during the week, they were giving away a certain number of tickets FOR FREE and when those ran out, they were selling them for 10$! the tickets were in the upper levels of the stadium, but for free or 10$?!?!?!? count me in!
i ended up getting 4 tickets for a game for 10$ each...they were bleacher tickets! the bleachers are a lot of fun! we havent sat out there in ages....
and i was able to score 4 free tickets for an afternoon game! we decided to treat matts mom and dad to the game since they help us with finley all the time...they are such great grandparents! they watch her for us quite often when we go to games, or if i have to sleep cause im working and matt has something to do that day. its really going to suck when they go to florida for the winter (they do this every year). well, matts dad decided he didnt want to go sit in the sun and watch the game...so matts bro-in-law, pat, came with us instead....oh...and our nephew max! it was a family affair! we had a great time!

matt has been working hard trying to spruce up our back yard landscaping...hes added decorative cement pavers and gotten rid of the old rotted rail road ties that have been there for way too long! he even trashed the little stairs we had coming out of the back door (to my loud protest!) and built bigger stairs and a little landing at the top (i quit protesting....it looks GREAT!). i have been asking for a deck AROUND THE POOL for years...i hope he knows this little "deck" doesnt count!
i think the new landscaping looks great....weve still got some work to do, weeds BE GoNe, mulch or more rock?, prune roses, plant some grass seed....but i think its coming along quiet nicely

and of course....finley and i just LoVe the hammock!!!! and watching the humming birds come to the feeders!

finally, i sooooo wish i could get this video to upload...but it wont, and its late, i want to go to bed, i have run out of patience...im done trying....
