i tried my best a her monthly photo shoot....which just keeps getting more difficult because miss finley is a squirmy wormy! and wants to look/touch/eat everything!!!!!
so....heres her 8 month post complete with pictures and her stats:
miss finley is in size 3 diapers
she wears some 6 month onesies still....also 6-9 month sleepers (for the length) and a few 9 month sleepers!
on 9/16/10 (our 4 year anniversary) miss finley GOT HER FIRST TOOTH! it is the bottom, front, middle left one.... she is so cute when she smiles and that little crooked tooth shows!
her hair is coming in very blond and getting thicker on top! no more bald baby!

she rolls everywhere....still not crawling...but trust me, she gets where she wants to go! recently she has started to kick her legs around while she is on her belly and bring her knees up.
she is very squirmy when being held....she wont sit still for anything!
she is using her pointer finger to touch stuff now...its so cute, that little finger reaching out and touching everything!
she can say "mamamamamamama", "dadadadadadadada", and "bababababababa"...then a WhOle bunch of finley talk! she talks all the time to her toys...and it makes me smile every time, i cant get enough of her sweet voice!
she is a VERY happy baby and smiles all the time. at everyone! and everything she makes eye contact with!
she will go to just about anyone, as long as you dont have any facial hair. if you do...dont even try to hold her! she will cry if you just look at her!
she also has started leaning into people and touching their faces with her mouth as if she is giving kisses!!!!!
she has loosely fallen into her own schedule...a 2/3/4 schedule...
she wakes up in the morning between 7-8, will eat and play, then 2 hours later take her morning nap that lasts about an hour or so...then will wake up, eat and play again...then will take her afternoon nap 3 hours after she woke from her morning nap....her afternoon nap usually is a little longer, lasting 2-3 hours...then she will eat and play again and sometimes she will take another short early evening nap....she has been going to bed right around 8-9PM every night...and will sleep through the night until morning!
we are still breastfeeding/pumping and she gets solids twice a day (trying to up it to three times a day when we have time!)
im still making her baby food...she pretty much will eat anything we give her, and if she doesnt really like it (carrots and green beans), we will mix it with a favorite of hers (sweet potatoes, squash, banana) and then she will eat it right up!
she still getting the hang of her sippy cup...she plays with it and gets water EVerywherE more than anything!
she really enjoys being outside, weather we are going for a walk or sitting in the hammock.
she is very fascinated with the cats and will watch them when ever they are around.
she also gets way excited when other children are around, and if they are running and playing around her....she cant kick her feet and wave her arms enough! im sure she wishes she could run and play too! ( that will happen soon enough!)
shes getting better at sitting by her self...she can do it for a little longer now....then the little weeble wobble will fall down!
when she drops something...she will lean over and look at it laying on the floor, then look at you, and then back to the toy on the floor as if she is asking us to get it for her!
since she turned 8 month almost 2 weeks ago:
- she has gotten her 2nd tooth, middle bottom right
- she has tried peas and pumpkin (and loves both!)
- now sits in her high chair to eat (her bumbo has been retired!)
- can sit up all by her self for an extended amount of time and just play!
- she has not been sleeping well for the past week, shes been waking in the middle of the night and fussing on and off all night long. last night, she woke up at 130 AM crying and very upset, i ended up feeding her, changing her diaper, and held her for a bit before she would let me lay her back down...so im not sure if its her teeth, a growth spurt, or what that is waking her up, but it just breaks my heart to see her so upset....

Oh my goodness that little smile!! She is truly so precious! Look at her growing up so fast in front of our eyes. I love the little #8 onesy. So cute.
