last wednesday into thursday, it snowed....and snowed! it was a record breaking snow...the 9th all time most snow we got in a 24 hour period. in our back yard, we officially got 5 1/2 inches...the official total in st. louis was 9 1/2 inches....but many other areas around here got anywhere from 11-15 inches!

last thursday, JANUARY 20, 2011, was also finleys first birthday!

its a good thing we had planned on us celebrating just us 3 since everyone was basically snowed in!
we started the day when finley woke up by breastfeeding....the same way we have started each day for the past year....

then finley got a birthday bath! she loves her bath time!...and had so much fun....

until she POOPED in her bath! bath time was quickly over then, and finley wasnt that happy...

then it was picture time! just like every 20th of every month before!

so what is finley up to these days?......
size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes (with a few 9 month still hanging around)
on 12/20 she got her 4th tooth
12/23...was her first trip to the ER....in the middle of the night with daddy (i was working)...croup
she has started dancing! she will sit there and be-bop up and down!
she also loves jumping! while shes standing there being held by us...she is a bouncing bean fool!

she loves to laugh
she loves to be tickled! anywhere....and everywhere!
she loves the cats and gets the biggest kick out of it if they let her touch them!
she still points at everything

she absolutely loved her balloons!!!! she got all tangled in them, and didnt care! she was just happy that they seemed to "follow" her where ever she went!

she never sits still....she is constantly crawling, rolling, or cruising!

she loves anything that lights up and

makes noise
plays music!

some new foods shes had this past month were ritz crackers, goldfish, cheerios....and macaroni and cheese! she would eat mac-n-cheese for the rest of her life if she could! she loves feeding herself and takes handfuls and tries to stuff it all in her mouth!

she also loves drinking water from the bottom of a straw (out of our drinks). she has mastered drinking water out of her sippy cup....but just this one certain sippy cup, so we are working on trying to teach her that all sippy cups work the same and the water tastes the same whatever cup it is coming out of!

12/25 was her first christmas and she was sick...so sick....i felt so bad for her. she just looked and acted miserable
we took a trip to florida to visit my family over the holidays and she had so much fun playing with her cousins! (blog coming on our fla trip!)

all these presents are for me!?!?!?

i just love this "mad" face of hers!

she loves to copy us and love for us to copy her....
we cough....she fake coughs
we laugh, she fake laughs
we sing "la la la la" and she will stick her tongue in and out and say "la la la la la"
she will wrinkle her nose and make her mad face, then we will do it, then she will laugh and do it again
we take our finger and flip our lips with it in an up and down motion....and she will do the same..
i point to her balloons and say "balloooooon"....she will point and say "la la la la ooooooooooow"
this past month was also her first new year....she stayed up until 1030pm! what a party girl!
she will shake her head so fast it makes her dizzy.....and THAT makes her laugh and do it again!
she is starting to say "hiiiiiiii" more
and on 1/11 her 5th tooth finally poked through!

after her photo shoot, we put on her party hat....and gave her her cupcake...that she wasnt too sure about at first.

we also sang to her.....and then she cried!....i didnt think we sang THAT bad!

but then she decided that it was fun to turn the cupcake upside down and stick her finger into it!

she never really ate any of it...just smashed it! and squeezed it between her fingers....and then rubbed her nose!

during her afternoon nap...i had to share, this is how she sleeps most of the time...belly down with her tushy up in the air! isnt she just the cutest!

after her nap....we skyped my family and she thought that was the bestest thing ever!
she kept waving, smiling, and saying "hiiiiiiiiiii"

then i tried to get creative with the balloons and the pictures.....well, i TRIED

after skyping, we played and played! then i breastfed her again (i am in the process of weaning her)...and she went to bed at 10PM! it was her birthday...she got to stay up late!
