valentines day

valentines day.....
we went out to dinner, the 3 of us...a few days before valentines day...to avoid the masses and because matt had to work valentines day night.
a friend at work kept raving about this Italian restaurant in st. louis, maggianos....so we decided to go there and try it for dinner.....

OH MY GOSH IT WAS GOOD!

we ended up deciding to get their "valentines day special".....we got to pick an appetizer, a salad for each of us, and entree for each of us, and a dessert to share....

let me make your mouth water now.....

we picked the crispy zucchini to start....
then we each had an Italian tossed salad...
for our entrees, matt decided on the beef medallions and i had the chicken francese...
and for dessert we shared the new york style cheesecake with strawberries on top....
oh, and they brought finley a scoop of vanilla ice cream too!

it was to die for!;-)

the restaurant was nice....and kid friendly (i was worried it would be too "up scale" for a 1 year old)....but i was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt, and there were several tables around us with little ones!

after dinner, we went home....and put finley to bed......

and fell asleep ourselves on the couch!

on valentines day i was pleasantly surprised by the delivery of these beauties!
