playing catch up!

lately ive been slacking on the blog postings....
so, finley is taking her morning nap right now....i thought id do a quick speed round to at least get us caught up to CLOSE to now!

lets start with a night out....matt and i got a night out a few weeks ago, which is rare! i dont think weve been out, for some fun, since baseball season! aunt laura and uncle pat watched finley for us (thanks again guys)...and we went out with a big group of people to celebrate 3 birthdays....we rented a party bus, went to a dinner theatre, and then went out to a few clubs/bars....wow, it had been a long time since i had been out dancing! (which back in the day...i LOVED to do!)...and my body let me know just how long it had been the next day...when my muscles ached all over!!! what a workout dancing is!

miss thang found out that the kitchen is WAY fun!!!!!

weve had some pretty bad weather this winter....snow storms...ice storms....very pretty to look at...not so fun to try to drive to work in (because when the weather is like that, thats all i will do...drive to work. i am a chicken when it comes to driving in winter weather!)

the best part about my job (i am a nurse that works 3 12 hour night shifts a week) is the 4 days i get to be at home with my sweet finley! i just love hanging out with her!

super bowl sunday we went to our friends house (keith and carrie), which has become a tradition that was started years ago (even before kids and marriages!)....now, they have a son, jaxton, who is 4 months older than finley. they are little buddies...and so cute when they play together! they get all wound up and end up skipping nap time!

here, jaxton, finley, and carrie are in their footed pjs...ready for bed after a long day of playing and no naps! it was 11pm....and neither kiddo "acted" tired. but right after this picture, we packed up to drive home...and finley was asleep before we even got out of the neighborhood!

we have had an occasional nice day here and there lately...so we have been able to sneak some walks in!

finleys new favorite game..."bucket head"! first, you have to put the bucket on her head...and THAT IS SO FUNNY~ then she hands you the bucket, and you have to put it on your head...WHICH IS EVEN FUNNIER! this goes on and on and on....

its the small things in life!

i will be spending mardi gras at home with finley...i thought about taking her down to the parade...but its 34 degrees and rainy...that doesnt sound like a fun morning parade to me!
