35 weeks....and 18 months

this past sunday, july 17...i started week #35 with tiny toth #2!
we were at the lake with some friends...so my photo shoot consisted of me, taking self portraits, in a bathing suit, on a boat....

we dont know the sex of the baby (by my choice)...and we still have no names picked out...we do have a list of boy names and a list of girl names....but none that we both agree on...and its getting down to the wire! the baby's room is still not the baby's room...it is still the computer/spare bedroom...but when i try to rationalize that, heres my thoughts....

• the baby's room is painted a light pink, and i dont have any intention to repaint, so if the baby is a boy...we are going to have to move finley out of her room (painted green), into the spare (pink) bedroom and set up the baby in finleys (green) room...so should we really set everything up now? just to maybe have to rearrange it all if we have a boy?
  






• finley slept in our room, at the end of our bed, in the pack-n-play for 13 months....so, if the baby doesnt have a crib set up...thats ok! cause the baby wont be in it for a while anyway!
  



• my sister and mom might be able to come for a short visit after the baby is born...and if they do...i have no where for them to sleep if the spare bedroom is already changed into a baby's room!




all that being said...i would like to have the diaper changing table set up and the dresser with clothes set up...and the closet...so maybe i should start moving my clothes out of the spare room closet! and move my dresser into the master bedroom! (i basically live out of the spare bedroom. all my clothes are in there and i sleep in there during the days when i work)





anyway...thats a long story just to say that we really should get our butts in gear!





yesterday, july 19, i had an OB appointment (35 weeks 2 days)...





everything is great! my BP was 104/66...we had one last ultrasound (love seeing baby!) to check the fluid around the baby and its all good! the baby is head down! (also good!) the heartbeat was great! the baby is measuring 6lbs 3 oz (finley was 6-13 when she was born at 37 weeks 5 days) so baby will probably be a little bit bigger than finley...they also checked to see if i was dilated at all and i was not. which is good!...for now! well, she actually called me "finger tip" but said she was going to chart that i was "closed and -3"...

everyone asks if finley knows i am having a baby...i honestly dont think she does. she knows where "mamas belly" is.... but to take that a step farther and know there is a baby in there?


i asked her to "kiss mamas belly"...and i got these sweet pictures!
















speaking of finley...shes 18 months old today!
















i cant believe my baby is 18 months old!~




in the past month...she has:





gotten tooth #7...upper L molar





loves to brush her teeth now...and wants to do it herself (she sucks more water out of the toothbrush than anything!)





speaking of wanting to do things herself...she wants to feed herself! with her hands or a fork or a spoon..whatever we will give her! so i usually end up letting her have a fork and i have a fork too, and i help her get every other bite onto her fork so she can do it herself! she smiles after every bite and is so proud!





she loves jumping/falling onto... the bed, the air mattress, the crib mattress for tiny toth #2 crib... the couch....on just about anything!





i signed finley up to start going to "pre-school" in the fall. its 2 days a week from 930-230 and its at a local church...i went back and forth on this for a long time and finally decided that it would be good FOR HER (not necessarily me)...to socialize (she has never gone to day care, she is always with us or a family member for a few hours)...and they have learning activities, large motor play, music time, snack time, nap time, lunch time...so its a GOOD THING (i just have to keep telling myself that!)














some fun words she says:




~"hi baaby" (thats what we say to her all the time!)




~"byeeeeeeee"




~"baaall"




~"shooooooes" (she loves her shoes! and always brings me mine!)




~"side" (outside)




~"wooooooooow"




~"mamaa"




~"daddy" although a few days ago she started yelling "maaaatttt"! and it just cracks me up! good thing i dont call him any bad names all the time! hehehe!






~"nana" (she has a banana every morning for breakfast)






~"ut oh" when ever she drops/throws anything down!




~"bubba bubba" (hubba hubba hubba)




~"pee-uu" (when she poos and i am changing her stinky diaper)




~if you ask her what (or if she sees a picture of the animal):




a cow says, she says "mooooooooow"




a duck says, she says "wa wa wa" (quack quack quack)




a kitty says, she says "meooooooow"




a doggie says, she opens her mouth and pants like a dog! (she also does this if she hears a dog barking)




~if she wants a drink, she puckers her lips and sucks in like she is drinking out of a straw




~if she wants milk (and this girl LOVES milk), she will either go to the fridge or point at it and say...."muuuuuhh"






~"bite"















went out on her first boat ride...not to sure at first, but then loved it!




loves shutting doors, any door!, and all doors!



loves flipping light switches off



has also gotten #8 tooth, bottom L molar (she is working on the r side molars i think, but still no cuspids anywhere)




she loves dinosaur train and sesame street!




gives kisses on comand...most of the time



she loves to play with other kids






we went for her 18 month check up today and she is



33.5 inches tall (90th %)and



weighs 22lbs 12 oz (25th %)!



her head is 18.5 inches (75th%)



and of course dr.w says "shes perfect" again...but we ALL ALREADY KNEW THAT! or at least matt and i do!















she is such a sweet baby....
