last friday's fun....

there is a water park nearby that has "tot time" every friday morning...they open the park early to parents and children that are under 7 years old...ive been wanting to go all summer long but it hasnt worked out for one reason or another...until last friday!
we finally made it to tot time!
i think we all had a great time!

finley had fun being thrown around by her daddy (why do kids love being thrown up in the air so much?!?!?!)

and i had fun just watching finley have fun! i could watch her all day, and listen to her laugh and talk...and i would be content doing nothing else!

she loved the little ridge along the outer edge of the pool....i guess its just like stairs to her...up, down, up, down! she also loved the little plastic man that is placed in the middle of the walk way to remind people to walk and not run! she kept walking over to him and patting him....he was just her size!

after the morning at the water park...and a lOnG afternoon nap (by all 3 of us!)... we headed to the parade in our town. every year our town has the "firemans picnic"...a parade, then music, friends, and fun on our main street. its like a town reunion and people come back into town just for this...and to see old high school friends!

heres finley watching the parade....and loving that we let her have a sucker! that im sure was really good...and i know for a fact made her a REALLY sticky mess!;-)

after the parade, we left finley with tami..she is my friends sister. my friend, christelle, and i have know each other since 5th grade....almost 20 years! (dang, thats a long time!)
tami volunteered to watch finley and christelles 2 children so us 4 adults could go mingle with the high school friends.... it was fun to see everyone again and to reminisce about the "good ole days"

when we walked back to tamis (at 1030 at night), i fully expected to either find a way-to-tired-and-cranky-child or a sleeping child...instead, we found this.....
the 3 of them, wide awake, in GREAT moods (bathed and in their pjs), watching a movie together on the couch, eating snacks!
