bouncy seat for two!

finley loves to hold her sister.....she always comes up to me and holds her arms out and says "baby?!?!" and "ute" (which in finley language is "up" aka....hold me!).
so i always tell her she has to sit down to hold the baby...so she will either plop down right there where she is standing or climb up onto the couch next to me...and then hold her arms out again and say "ute? baby!"...."finley, do you want to hold the baby?"....."NOOOOO!" as she smiles and claps and gets all excited (apparently "no" means "YESSS!"). so then i will place danika in on finleys lap and finley is in heaven....
well, the other night, we went through this... except when i told finley she had to sit down to hold the baby...she plopped right down into danikas bouncy seat (which is actually a hand me down from finley!)...and then held her arms out and said "baby!??!"...
arent they the cutest! can you see finleys hand on the left, she had her arm around danika and had wrapped her hand around to hold her baby sister!

That just warms a Mama's heart, now doesn't it?! I love how my girls adore each other, always wanting to be with the other. I think sisters are extra-special :-)

And about the potty training. With Crista I just decided one day to do it hard core. Put her in real panties...no pull-ups...and let her run around with no pants on...less to clean up :-) She had lots of accidents that first day but by the end of the day, she just got it. You could actually see the lightbulb go off in her head. And after that, no more accidents. She was potty trained in 2 days. We also had never given her M&M's before potty training so she got 2 for tinkling in the potty and 4 for her "big business". That was plenty motivation for her. The hard part about potty training is having to stay home until she gets it. I believe putting her in pull-ups makes the process so much longer since its just like a diaper. And that first day, if she tinkled on the carpet, I gave her a rag and made her help clean it up. And I wouldn't rush to get her cleaned up. She would have to help clean the carpet before I would change her. That way she understood how uncomfortable it is to be in wet panties and that proved to be another motivator for getting her to go in the potty.

Good luck!! I guess we'll be hitting it hard core in the near future :-)
