matt and jenn: florida in september.....

so, back in september, we were able to go to florida to visit my family!
of course we had a great time!
we drove down on a friday....and me and the girls stayed the weekend, the week and the next weekend...and we all drove home monday. matt couldnt get off work, so he drove down with us, spent the weekend there, flew home sunday night to work that week, then flew back friday night...spent the weekend with us, then we all drove home! whew! lots of back and forth for him....but worth it!
the first friday night, we went to whats called "first friday"...kind of like an out door shin dig with all sorts of different music, vendors (thing artsy people selling paintings and tye dye shirts!), and food trucks!
we all had a great time....and boy oh boy was the people watching in full effect!!!!

saturday was a FSU football game...so we tail gated for a while! that was fun to do...but really hot!

sunday....we kissed hunky hubby bye and sent him on a plane home to go to work! the girls love taking a bath together!

during the week, the girls and i went to the park a lot during the day while everyone was at work and school! it was a lot of fun! the girls just LOVE the park...slides, swings, running....being outside!

in the evenings, my sister and i would take all the kids on a walk before dinner....she lives back in a wooded area with a lot of dirt roads....so this was fun to explore each night!

we also made colored spaghetti one night (thanks pinterest!) which was a HUGE hit with the kiddos and the adults too!

all the "big" kids just love the "baby" (danika)...they fight over pushing her around in the stroller!
i with they would get up with her in the morning too! so i could sleep in! haha
finley perfected riding a tricycle! she is so good at peddling herself! she just goes and goes and goes....real fast! and i cant hardly pry her off her "bike".

and another tailgate day of fun! right across the street from the stadium i might add!
except this day, i ended up in urgent care with danika ( horrible snotty, not sleeping, low grade fever, fussy, not eating)...they said she had a "cold" (2 weeks later, when she still had this "cold", i took her to our pediatrician and she has a" raging ear infection", her first one...and the same one she still has today, jan 9 2013....and the same one that 4 rounds of antibiotics hasnt touched, and the same one that next week we have a consult with an ENT for probably tubes in my baby's ears)...
but matt came back today! yipee!!!! we sure did miss him all week while we were vacationing in sunny florida and he was at home in the heat of the midwest working!

sept 16 was our anniversary....6 years! one gift option for 6 years is "wood" so i surprised matt with a day at a zip line/obstacle course. it was SO MUCH FUN! neither one of us have done anything like this before. i was scared poopless for the first "zip"....but after that initial fear....those "zips" were GREAT! it ended up raining on us for the last bit of the course, but we still had a blast! and i personally would love to do something like this again! (thanks to my sister and my mom for watching our sweet girls so we could go do this for our anniversary). after the zip line, we went back to my sisters and we had a great dinner.....steak and stuff! and my brother in law even added a candle to the table so we felt like we were having a candle lite dinner (with all of them with us! it was really actually great!)
matts big gift to me was that he was going to built me a (big) wooden table for our deck! and he has built it! complete with wheels, and its a double decker table i cant wait to use it next year on our deck while we are spending time in the pool with the girls!

after our zip line adventure, and before dinner was ready....we all cooled off with a swim in the pool!!!! the girls love water (swimming in pools, bath time, the hose) so much!
