finishing up september 2012

last september we did the "light the night" walk. this walk is sponsored by the leukemia and lymphoma society. my sisters husband (brandon)...has a sister (holly)....hollys husband, john, died of leukemia so this was kind of personal for me. we did the walk in honor of john. it was really cool because it was at night, and they gave everyone a balloon with a blinky light in it....which the girls loved!
we will definitely do this walk again next year! along with the race for the cure we do every year!
by doing these walks and other random things throughout the year....i hope to instill in my girls to

 help others when you can....

to be thankful for health (and what we have)....

because you never know when it can be taken away from you! 

enjoy life.

and just a little tid bit of knowledge for you...
today, jan 13 is our "engagement" anniversary.
on friday jan 13 2006 (at about 5:58pm....i remember the NBC nightly news was wrapping up !i had made lasagna for dinner from scratch for the first time ever! and we were getting ready to go to my bff husband surprise 30th bday party....i was sitting on the couch and he was laying with his head in my lap)
 matt proposed to me!
yes, it was friday the 13th~
my lucky day!
