the 4th of july is my so absolute favorite summer holiday!
i just cant get enough of it!
on the 4th, during the day, we went down to the fair st. louis and watched the air show....
the girls were more into running around in the grass and throwing the ball around....
but hey...we all had a good time!
and it wasn't BLAZING HOT this year like it was last year!
oh...and the girls got ice cream too...
so its not like they didn't get what they wanted!!!
after the air show...
and naps for the girls and some pool time for matt and I...
we went over to his parents house for BBQ dinner and family time!
his parents got a new smoker...mmmmmm
boy was that food good!

after dinner, we went back to our house and met my good friend, Christy, and 2 of her kids...
then walked the few blocks down to our towns park...
for the fire works!
I was very pleasantly surprised!
our little town put on an AWESOME display!
and my girls lOvEd! them!
they "ooooh" and "ahhhhh".....
finley had her head laying in my lap....
and danika sat next to christy with the bag of M&Ms between her legs...her hands with a constant stream of candy going to her mouth! she was in HeAvEN!
then walked the few blocks down to our towns park...

july 5 matt had to go into work for a bit
so the girls and i hung out around the house
then when matt got home we went to the park!
and had a BLAST!
my girls sure do love going to the park!
and they run from each thing to the next like little bees going from flower to flower!
then we headed down to the river front to watch fair st louis fireworks!
more "ooohhhhhh" and "aaahhhhh"s when the fire works went "boom boom!"
on saturday....
we had a pool day while matt went golfing!
finley is a fish! and loves jumping into the water and making a "big splash!"
danika is more hesitant in the water and pretty much is glued to me...but i am working on getting her more comfortable in the water and she slowly is...
saturday evening it rained so we stayed home (rather than go watch fireworks)
and daddy became the human jungle gym! cause he is good at that!
sunday was matts birthday....
we went to church...
then went to the baseball game where i was able to get his name and birthday up on the jumbo tron!
then willie, from duck dynasty spoke after the game...and we stayed to hear that
then we went with matts sister and her family to hooters for dinner....
it was a great day celebrating matt!
and then to end the night...

Wow! What a busy,fun weekend! I just love fireworks too! I'm so glad the girls like them too and aren't afraid of them! You sure get good pics of them too! Love,Mimi
