party! two, part two!

we had danikas birthday party the sunday after her actual birthday.
we just had family over for dinner, cake and ice cream!
and boy was dinnr good! matt grilled up some chicken in his secret marinade, grilled asparagus, fresh corn on the cob,  pasta salad, party potatoes!....it ws sooooo good!
i made the cakes....2 butterfly cakes....and the theme was bubble guppies!
i also splurged (again) and had a birthday had made (off etsy)....of course, danika refused to wear it, but oh well, its still cute and finley had fun wearing it!

danika got a sprinkler for her birthday so we decided to get it out and let the girls play.
they were very hesitant at first...but then ended up having a blast!

 

nothing is better than listening to the giggles from the girls that a sprinkler gets out of them!

 

danika didnt like the singing...
she sat on aunt chris's lap and just looked sad!
but we sang anyways!

 

she wasnt very sure of the cake/icing thing either...
at first!@
then she got TOTALLY INTO IT and we let her have the small cake all to herself!
she was in hog heaven!

 

we had fun opening gifts...
finley had just as much fun!

 

it was a great evening spent celebrating a
super sweet girl that just turned 2!
