and i had lots of surprises!!!...
wednesday, we went to the grizzley game...with matts sisters and their families...
and MY SISTER SURPRISED me and flew into town for the weekend!
years ago, we had planned for her to come for my 40th birthday....and a few weeks ago, she fibbed to me and told me she couldnt come....
and i BELIEVED HER!
and so did i!
it was great to have an extra pair of hands around to help with the girls!
and she also got me a little more organized with the girls toys that have taken over our living room!!!
and her and i went to the cardinal/cub game!
and had a blast! the cardinals won 13-2!!!!
i drug her to a bar next to the stadium after the game...and danced ...and did a shot... and drank a beer..
little did i know that my HUNKY HUBBY had gotten several of our friends to come to a bar (closer to home) to surprise me for my birthday! they were all waiting for us...and my sister couldnt get me to leave the first bar!
i had told him years ago i wanted a birthday party for my 40th...and he lead me to believe that this wasnt going to happen...
i MIGHT have been a tad upset that i wasnt getting a party...
she finally got me to leave...and go towards home, but then she talked me into stopping at the local bar...
i walked in and to my surprise....
MATT WAS THERE WITH A TON OF OUR FRIENDS!
after the bar closed...
we went to dennys for food and got home at 4AM!!!
and we had a family reunion at matts parents house!
the girls swam and had a grand time playing with their cousins!
after that, and after we got home and got the girls to bed...
me and matt and barbie sat out on our deck and enjoyed a few beers, good music, and great company!
i had a great birthday weekend!
i will be smiling about this birthday for the rest of my life!
thank you again matt for being you! and giving me exactly what i wanted for my birthday!
and thank you barbie for getting yourself here for my special weekend...i know you had to do some fancy hoop jumping to make it happen...
