rewind....being pregnant in october

lets see...
highlights of preggo in october...

i still havent told everyone at work that i am pregnant. just a few people know...i mean, i do work at a hospital, and we do take care of some people that have funk that a preggo like me should try not to be exposed to! so a few of my close friends know, and they make sure i dont get funky patients!...

but people are starting to talk. scrubs hide a TON, but my baby bump is getting bigger and the scrubs are just not hiding it anymore! its funny, people are all whispering to each other...but none to me. but im about to be busted, my secret is about to be exposed...

so, on friday, oct 2...22 weeks pregnant, i put my 19 week U/S pic on my locker, and waited to see if people would notice....and they did...but not until the next night! i was at home at about 10PM and my phone rang...it was my co-workers, they had just noticed my ultrasound picture and called me, all excited! it was fun. they each took turns talking to me and wishing us congrats! i kept my "secret" for 22 weeks! well done me...now my secret is out! let the world know.....

WE ARE PREGNANT!
and half way done!!

on oct 3....i announced the pregnancy on this blog! i am completely out of the closet know!:-)

heres some 23 week pictures....see what i mean about the bump not being able to be hidden anymore! lol....

on oct 15 ( 23 wks 6 days), matt FINALLY felt the baby kick...and KNEW it was the baby! all the times before he had felt the baby, he wasnt sure if it was the baby kicking or me moving... tonight.. there was no question!

heres some 24 week pics. still cruising right along...no issues, feeling baby kick a ton! and lovin' it!

we attended child birth classes on oct. 17. yes, i know it early (im just 24 weeks)..but with out work schedules, the holidays coming, classes only offered once a month...this was the best time for us to go. i knew a lot (i am a mother baby nurse)...about AFTER i have the baby...but i learned a lot about delivery, breathing, oh yeah, and apparently i get lots of back massages while in labor! score!! baby liked the class too, s/he was kicking and flipping the entire class! we watched a few births on video, matt watched too (i was impressed he didnt turn away) but he did comment..."wow, i didnt know they came out looking like THAT!". no, matt, they dont come out looking all cute and pink like the gerber baby....

we also got to tour the mother/baby unit, which is where i will be delivering (no, i am not delivering where i work, i dont want co-workers all up in my business, if you know what i mean!)..the tour was fun....

now lets hope we remember all this when it comes time to have the baby!

oct 19...another dr. appointment...heart rate is in the 140's and lots of movement!

we also went to register at baby r us....3 words....fun, overwhelming, and exhausting! but one more thing off my to-do list! and we decided on our bedding, crib, and car seat.! woohoo!
we also went the next day and registered at target...

oct 30....26 weeks! lets talk about cravings...i really havent been craving anything...i just allow myself to eat what i want, at that time, no matter what time it is...like a bowl of ice cream at 11pm at night! or some onion rings from the cafeteria at work...yummy! 2 things that i normally do not do....but now, i am lifting my eating restrictions, and if "baby" wants it...."baby" gets it! :-)
i saw a few blogger buddies that had painted their bellys, and i thought it was a great idea...so we painted my belly for halloween....
heres my 26 week pics....
we started with the perfect pumpkin...

and then matt "carved" it into the perfect jack-o-lantern....

lovin it!
