1 month!

danika is one month old today!!!!
i cant believe shes been here for a month already!
she is definitely her own self....much different than her sister!!!!.....
she is a binki baby....she has to have her binki....to fall asleep....if it falls out....SHES UP! AND ANGRY! (im afraid this will come to bite us in the butt later....)

she sleeps best, on her belly, on my chest (im afraid this will bite us later too!)...or right next to me in our bed....i know...totally "illegal".....but when its the middle of the night, you will do just about anything to get the baby to sleep so you can too!
me and danika actually have been sleeping out in the living room for the last 2ish weeks....that way, when shes fussing, we dont wake matt and finley up....last night she actually ate every four hours (midnight, 04, and 08) and didnt fuss...because i would feed her and then let her sleep on me rather than try to put her in her chair....maybe our days out on the couch are numbered!!!! and we can move back to the bedroom????
i am still pretty tired....i feel like i could nap at anytime....and usually do! although then i usually feel guilty because i was sleeping rather than spending time with finley....or cleaning up (which my house desperately needs!)....ugggggg.....

ive been able to strictly breastfeed her! and i am very proud of myself for that!!!! but i think weve been dealing with some colic or reflux....the first 2 weeks, danika spit....and about once a day would give me (what seemed like) her entire feeding back. you know the "hurl out her nose and mouth, turn red, arch back vomit". i did talk to her dr about that and she said that if she didnt "volcano hurl" with each feeding then it wasnt truly reflux...but she hasnt done that in about a week and a half, now she just gives me wet burps...so i am constantly covered in baby spit up....and leaking from my tatas! (i know, sexy right!@?!?).
danika is also a pretty fussy baby...almost colic like....like fussing with feeds, pulling her legs up, wanting to LIVE on her belly...so i quit drinking milk and i think it has actually helped some! she doesnt seem to be in pain as much...and mylicon drops have become our friend!

danika sleeps a lot still. which is ok with me, because then she is not crying! but, since she sleeps on my chest...i am getting absolutely nothing done around the house!
oh well, i guess the house can wait....my baby wont be a "baby" forever, so i should stop and enjoy this stage....i know i should....but its so much easier said than done!
she is wearing size newborn diapers...and in size newborn clothes and even some of them swallow her! we are going to the dr on friday, so i will know her weight and length then

we did go to the zoo last week with both girls....and to the city garden....and i have been able to "escape" and make quick trips to target or hallmark...or i even went to 2 cardinal games while matt stayed home with the girls! hes been really good like that! hes basically been on finley duty and i am on danika duty....thats been my saving grace! im not sure how i would have done it if he had a job to go to every day! im sure i would be insane by now! so my hat is off to all you out there that do this by your self!!!! its hard enough with someone to split everything with!

finley just love danika! she always wants to hold her! she comes and sits next to me(she know she has to sit down to hold her) and then puts her hands out and says "baby?". she has started taking danikas binki from her...and then trying to (stuff) put it back into her mouth...very thoughtful of her, but most of the time the binki ends up in danikas eye and it pisses her off! finley also leans down to danika and says "hi!" or if she is crying she will lean down to her and put her index finger to her mouth and say "shhhhh" (i guess she has seen me do this!)...or try to stuff her binki in her mouth! finley is such a great big sister and is always asking about "baby?"
these pictures went like this...finley wanted to sit next to danika...then saw her "1 month" sticker, and took it from her to put it on herself, then she tried to pick her up, and decided she couldnt, so a hug would just have to do!

danika is so soft....her skin, her sweet little peach fuzz head... she has a cute little nose i love kissing....and i love her hair line, she has a widows peak! she has peach fuzz hair on top....and longer in the back and along the bottom like an old man!
we all just love our tiny toth #2! happy one month birthday sweet danika!!!!!
